about

Club50: A Greek/Japanese combo that was established in Treviso, Italy in 1997. Regarded as the pioneers of the label since their debut album “Freeze Dead” was released under the ILIOS (who produced the record) moniker in Antifrost in 1999. Re-issued here as the first item in the long-awaited C50/NWL catalogue , Freeze dead sheds some distorted vision of a pop hybrid that ranges from the ghost of J-pop king Kenji to that of Greek gypsy king Manolis, plus some disorientating beats -for the fun of it-, and indeed laid out the foundations and served as inspiration for the label itself.
recorded during 1997 - 1998 in Italy and Greece
